Please note: In order to take advantage of Lumina's 5% sibling discount for those with two or more registrants from the same family, you must register by mail.

Lumina has an 80% retention rate for actors who return season after season. Priority registration is offered to current actors. See the Calendar for dates of Priority and Open registration.
Registrations are taken on a first-come first-served basis. Our actors range from 8-16 years of age. If you have a question about which group is right for your actor please check out Rehearsal Groups. Actors are wait-listed once a rehearsal group is full.
We accept all young actors (without disabilities that would prohibit them from performing) who are serious about learning acting techniques and performing.
Summerstock Theatre
Registration for Lumina's Summerstock Theatre groups begins in December. These 2 or 3 week long sessions offer a great way to experience acting in a fun atmosphere. Whether you're a novice actor or seasoned Luminite, you'll find fun, laughter and friendship in Lumina's Summerstock Theatre.
Payments
Full payment is due with registration, however if you need to set up installment payments (as per this payment schedule) please contact the office:

There is a $5 service fee added for late payments. There is a $25 fee for any returned checks.
Refunds
Once Lumina receives the registration form and payment, the registration is considered final and there are NO REFUNDS!
The refund policy is clear - NO EXCEPTIONS. This policy applies whether the actor drops out or is asked to leave. If an actor changes her/his mind or drops out, the production fee cannot be "credited" towards another session or be considered a donation. Please understand that we cannot make exceptions to this NO REFUNDS policy.
Financial Assistance
Limited financial aid is available for families in special economic circumstances. A family applying for financial aid should do so in writing at the time of registration. Lumina follows the MCPS FARMS guidelines for financial assistance. Please contact the Lumina office for additional information.
