Quest Theatre:
RADIO DAYS
by David Minton

The revival and update of one of David's most popular summer plays! This is your chance to be a part of a Lumina Legend!

What was entertainment in America before DVD's, TVs, and IM's? One word: RADIO!  Follow the wild adventures and mishaps of a small radio station in pre-WWII days struggling to stay afloat with on-air acts ranging from the HIGHLY dramatic soap opera of "Brenda Noble: Backstage Wife" to the "Creeper" thriller serial, to the fabulous singing duo the Pigeon Sisters. A new owner has taken over WORS determined to fire all of the old talent and insert her new radio discoveries. With radio staff losing their shirts on horseracing, devious plots to kill the station, and studio sparks flying between the company stars, it's too much melodrama for modern times  - only vintage RADIO can try to keep it all from exploding!

With fabulous songs, dances and costumes from the 30's, 40's, RADIO DAYS will be a stylish and hilarious treat you will not want to miss. If you love theatre and you love FUN this is your show!

Noir Thriller Theatre:
The Task
by David Minton
(Part 2 of the Roman Noir Trilogy)

There's a new "charismatic" in the Wandering Ones quarter of the City who must be stopped. There's a circular maze that must be traveled to its very end. There's a whispering assassin who stalks the moonlit streets picking off the plebs and patricians who would threaten the old order of boss Tibereus. There's the Red Republicans who won't take no for an answer. A couple of tough gladiators who just won't gladiate. And not a helpful God or Goddess in sight. They were just myths, weren't they?

But what just skittered around the corner? And what's with that screeching sound from just outside the City limits? Some things just won't stay buried....

We arrive at that shady intersection of Youthful Hope Street and Utter Despair Avenue where the stakes are high. There's a special game going on under the lamplight that the smart guys and gals are in on. We're not playing for laurel wreaths here. Because there's an operation to be done that will decide the City's fate forever. A mission for a very cool specialist in extinction. The drachmas are good. The sundial is ticking...

You say B.C.; I say A.D. Either way - it's time to change the Millennium. That's quite a job.

You might even call it...The Task

Get your crimson and black chips for the most macabre and surprising of all the Noir Thrillers!
This is the follow-up to our WILDLY popular Forever...Bread and Circus Roman Noir Thriller. ALL NEW!

Understanding the Lumina Summerstock Theatre Camp Experience:
Although we are fortunate to have most of our students return again and again to participate in Lumina Summerstock productions, we encourage and welcome new students to join us in this exciting experience.  For some new students the level of professionalism with which we approach these camps can be surprising at first. With the three weeks camps the focus is a professional level performance in a professional theatre at the end of three weeks.

Unlike many other young actor’s summercamps, Lumina plays are not informal or casual productions, and each camp day is fully scheduled with important elements pertaining to the final production.  Attendance is mandatory and we do not permit late arrival or early departure.

New students occasionally may feel a little overwhelmed with the first day or two, but by the end of the first week they are caught up in the excitement, fun and challenge of producing an original play and becoming a part of an acting ensemble.

For students who prove disruptive or uncooperative we will contact the parents immediately. We reserve the right to dismiss any student at any time during the camp.

Registration Dates:

o    Priority registration only for those in Lumina Summerstock 2007 or Lumina Fall 2007  begins November 15 and ends November 30!

Full tuition rate applies for all registrations received after November 30. Open Registration begins on December 1 -
Priority Discount does not apply on and after this date.

Sibling or Multiple Camp Discount Policy (For 3 week camps only):
3 week camps discount, sibling or multiple = $30 per student.

(Please note: for 3 week camps only) Siblings receive a $30 discount per sibling per camp. Multiple Camps receive a $30 discount per camp. Sibling discount and multiple camp discounts cannot be combined.

Payment by Installments (No discounts apply)  A $5 processing fee is added to each installment.
Installment payments for 3 week camps can be made in three payments of $297. Payments are due December 2, February 1, and April 1.

Installment payments for 2 week camps can be made in two payments of $255. Payments are due December 2 and February 1.

Please note that any unexcused absence or late arrival/early departures (no matter how good the reason) may necessitate adjustments being made to the actor’s role and continuous absences can result in the actor not being permitted to perform. There is no refund in this case.
Please notify us of any possible conflicts or special needs before registration.

Refunds:
There is a non-refundable deposit of $275 for all students until Feb. 1. After Feb. 1 and until April 1 the non-refundable amount increases to $550. After April 1 there will be no refunds. This is our policy because each camp performs an original script written specifically for the particular youth who are signed up based on their age and experience. Late changes in enrollment create problems with recasting.
